As an engineering assistant with The Markosky Engineering Group, Eva Jeanne Markosky assists division and department managers with financial functions and leads the implementation of company-wide customer relationship management software. Eva Jeanne Markosky is an alumna of Pennsylvania State University, where she was an All-American member of the school's boxing team.
Since the founding of the National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) in 1976, Penn State has produced 23 national champions in various weight classes. Below are three of these champions.
1. Mark Jayne - The third Penn State boxer to win an NCBA national championship, Jayne first did so in 1981 at 132 pounds. He repeated as champion in 1984.
2. Christy Wilcox - A native of Pennsylvania, Wilcox became the first woman to win two NCBA national championships when she won back-to-back titles in 1998 and 1999 at 125 pounds. She later studied journalism at UCLA and has since worked as a freelance video journalist based in the Middle East.
3. Alex Komlev - 2001 was a banner year for the Penn State boxing team as three of its members, including Komlev, won a national championship. It was the second time the team accomplished that feat. Komlev repeated as 156-pound champion the following year.
